Targeted splicing therapy: new strategies for colorectal cancer
نویسندگان
چکیده
RNA splicing is the process of forming mature mRNA, which an essential phase necessary for gene expression and controls many aspects cell proliferation, survival, differentiation. Abnormal gene-splicing events are closely related to development tumors, generation oncogenic isoform in can promote tumor progression. As a main tumor-specific variants, alternative (AS) progression by increasing production isoforms and/or reducing normal isoforms. This focus current research on regulation aberrant splicing. So far, AS has been found be associated with various biology, including proliferation invasion, resistance apoptosis, sensitivity different chemotherapeutic drugs. article will review abnormal colorectal cancer (CRC), especially tumor-associated variants arising from AS, aiming offer insight into CRC-targeted therapy.

Targeted cancer therapy: review article
Cancer is one of the most dangerous health problems of today modern societies which has an increasing rate especially in developing countries. There are many diverse ongoing treatment attempts trying to defeat cancer. Despite that, scientists have been unable to find a permanent cure for this disease. In many cases although there is a successful first response in patients, cancer cells are fina...
متن کاملMast Cell-Targeted Strategies in Cancer Therapy.
Mast cells (MCs) are cells that originate in the bone marrow from pluripotent CD34+ hematopoietic stem cells. Precursors of MCs migrate through the circulation to their target tissues, completing their maturation process into granulated cells under the influence of several microenvironment growth factors. The most important of these factors is the ligand for the c-Kit receptor (c-Kit-R) namely ...
متن کاملCurrent progress in targeted therapy for colorectal cancer.
BACKGROUND Several molecular targeting agents are available and being used in patients with colorectal cancer, and many others are being tested clinically. METHODS The authors review and present the biology and use, including predictive testing, of the agents currently approved for use in colorectal cancer as well as current data on several newer tyrosine kinase inhibitors that are undergoing...
متن کاملA review on miRNAs as new biomarkers for colorectal cancer
Background & Objective: Since colorectal cancer does not often have phenotypic symptoms in the early stages, the study of biomarkers for the diagnosis and prognosis of the tumor is very important. MicroRNAs are one of the most important biomarkers which attract the attention of many researchers due to a variety of reasons, including their non-invasive nature; these molecules are a group of non-...

background : lung cancer is still the leading cause of cancer- related deaths and most of themâ are normally diagnosed in late stages, so there is an urgent need to establish reliable tools for the identification at early stages of the disease. in this study, we use an eleven gene signature test to examine lung biopsy specimens for diagnostic, prognostic & therapeutic purposes. methods : bronc...
